T Launcher

Philosophy

Why T Launcher exists and why it is not for everyone.

T Launcher is an opinionated tool. It is not designed to be "user-friendly" in the traditional sense. It is designed to be user-respecting.

The Problem: Optimizing for Engagement

Modern mobile operating systems and launchers are optimized for one metric: Engagement. Speed, animations, notification badges, and predictive apps are all designed to reduce friction between you and the content that generates revenue for platforms.

This creates a loop where unlocking your phone becomes a subconscious reflex rather than a conscious choice.

The Solution: Intentional Friction

T Launcher introduces friction by design.

No Icons

Icons are visual triggers. They bypass the logical part of your brain and appeal directly to impulse. By using text-only labels, T Launcher forces you to read and process what you are about to launch. This split-second delay is often enough to intercept a dopamine loop.

Slow Launch

We do not prioritize launch speed. If you are launching an app, you should mean it.

No Wallpapers

Your home screen is a utility, not a gallery.

Not For Everyone

If you find T Launcher frustrating, it is working.

However, it might also mean this tool is not for you. We are okay with that. We built this for people who want to reclaim authority over their attention span.
