- Text over Graphics: Reading requires cognitive load. Icons require reflex. We prefer load.
- Tools over Toys: Your phone is a screwdriver, not a slot machine.
- Owner Authority: You own the device. You should control what runs on it.
- Silence by Default: No notifications on the home screen. Ever.
